Superfood Green Smoothie Bowl
For the Smoothie:
1/2 medium avocado
1/2 handful organic baby spinach or mixed super greens
1/2-inch piece of fresh ginger, peeled
1/4 cup fresh or frozen pineapple
1 tablespoon hemp hearts
1 cup unsweetened almond milk or coconut milk beverage
For the Topping:
1 tablespoon nuts such as raw pistachios, almonds, cashews, walnuts or a combination
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1/2 teaspoon hemp hearts
Place the smoothie ingredients in a blender and process on high-speed until thoroughly blended.
Pour into a bowl and top with berries, nuts, chia seeds and hemp hearts. Note: make a pretty presentation by arranging toppings around the outer edge of the bowl or down the center.
