Mollusk lovers will get a kick out of the Oyster Cake by Flour Power Confectionery. This sweet cake has a deceptive exterior featuring fondant oysters, horseradish, lemons, Tabasco sauce and a brown paper bag.
Flour Power Confectionery posted a photo of the Oyster Cake at the end of April; the cake resurfaced via Twitter a few days ago thanks to Ann Tuennerman of Tales of the Cocktail New Orleans.
Flour Power Confectionery is based in Chalmette, Louisiana. The bakery's other recent themed cakes include a casino slot machine, the Peyton Manning interception at this year's Super Bowl and a sitting elephant.
