Hummus is a breakfast staple in some parts of the world it can also be eaten anytime for a filling and very nutritious meal or as a starter, served as a Meze with other dishes and salads.

Ingredients

  • 1 tin cooked chickpeas
  • 1/2 cup sesame paste
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice(optional)
  • salt(optional)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced(optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil(optional)
  • sweet or hot paprika(optional)
  • chopped herbs(optional)
  • cooked chickpeas(optional)
  • 2 tablespoons tahini paste(optional)

Step 1

Drain the chickpeas and put everything into a food processor or use a hand <a href="/S6W4FR7F">blender </a>and then <a href="/S6W4FR7F">blend </a>until it is a paste. Add in everything else and<a href="/S6W4FR7F"> blend</a> again. When you add in the sesame paste add half in first<a href="/WDCS6JL5">, tast</a>e to see if you want more, then add the rest(some people find it a bit strong) same with the garlic add to your ow<a href="/WDCS6JL5">n tast</a>e. I would probably add in 4 cloves. With the olive oil I would probably put in a couple of tablespoons, if t<a href="/7S3QCKWK">he m</a>ix looked a b<a href="/RF7SRX43">it d</a>ry then add in some more.

Step 2

With all of the above <a href="/QQVZX64Y">dishes </a>you <a href="/TPWNYF5L">can </a>add olive oil. Decorate with some sweet or hot paprika,<a href="/6L7QNTJV"> chopped</a> herbs, a few cooked chickpeas and a couple of tablespoons of tahini paste.
