This is such an easy candy to make. It is also one of the most delicious candies that will ever come out of your kitchen! Be wary of the hot sugar though, you will be working with it boiling hot.

Ingredients

  • 40 saltine crackers
  • 1 cups butter
  • 1 cups brown sugar
  • 1 package chocolate chips
  • 1 cups nuts or broken candies

Instructions

Step 1

Line a cookie sheet with foil and spray lightly with non-stick spray.

Cover the entire cookie sheet with saltines.

In a saucepan, combine the brown sugar and butter.

Heat to a boil and stir the entire time. Start timing when sugar/butter begins to boil.

3 minutes

Boil for 3 minutes, continuing to stir.

Pour boiling hot sugar mixture over the crackers.

14 minutes

Bake in oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 14 minutes.

Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over all.

Spread chocolate over hot sugar.

Sprinkle with nuts (or other candy topping if you choose).
