pint real vanilla ice cream |

cup real butter, at room temperature |

teaspoon butterscotch extract |
¼ |
cup brown sugar |

teaspoon ground cinnamon |
½ |
teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg |

quart apple cider |
Apple slices for garnish, optional |

Step 1 |
Using a mixer on medium speed, beat together the ice cream, butter, butterscotch extract, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well-combined. Pour into a container and freeze. |
Step 2 |
When ice cream mixture has re-frozen, heat apple cider in a saucepan until steaming hot. |
Step 3 |
Put one scoop of ice cream into a soda glass, or large mug, and top with warm apple cider. |
