Homemade Artichoke Hummus

Ingredients

4 cloves of garlic
1/2 Lemon juice from about a a lemon
6 artichoke hearts. (I used canned artichokes in water, no
Dash of salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Drain your can of chickpeas and reserve some of the liquid in a bowl for later use, just in case.

Add all of your ingredients into a food processor or blender.

Blend until smooth.

If it isn’t creamy enough (mine wasn’t) add a little bit of the chickpea liquid you reserved earlier, until it’s the right consistency.

Enjoy with some crackers or veggies like celery, carrots, or cucumbers.

Be warned: We love garlic and with 4 cloves, it gave us pretty smelly garlic breath for a while.

This tasted sooo good, we ate our entire box of crackers! It’s pretty filling too I might add. There are many other options for homemade hummus too! Try throwing some spinach in there. Or even some soy beans, cilantro, or roasted red peppers.
