Chimichurri

BeginnerWe really love to enjoy a good steak at home from time to time; we have found that our most favorite steak is a “Flat Iron”. This cut of steak is so forgiving in cooking, you can go rare to well over done and it is still tender and juicy. My husband cooks them up on the outdoor grill to perfection, they need nothing on them to enhance their natural fantastic flavor but when I saw this topping being used on steak, I knew my husband would love it. He is a cilantro freak, so I knew this would be a great hit with him.

Step 1
Put the parsley, cilantro and garlic into a medium mixing bowl and toss to combine. Add the vinegar, salt, red and black pepper and stir. Pour in the olive oil and mix well to combine. Allow the mixture to sit for 30 minutes to allow the flavors to blend. This sauce is not only great on steak but I think it would also be wonderful on pork and chicken as well.
