This Asian inspired meatball can be served as an appetizer or a main course. Just serve over a bed of steamed rice with a side of stir-fried vegetables and you'll have a meal that everyone in your family will enjoy.

  • 1 pounds ground chuck
  • 1.25 pounds ground turkey (93/7)
  • 1 cups panko
  • 1 egg
  • 2 egg whites
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
  • 3 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/2 cups thinly sliced green onions
  • 2/3 cups hoisin sauce
  • 1/4 cups duck sauce
  • 1/4 cups rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoons ground ginger
  • hot pepper flakes(optional)

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400°F.

In a large bowl, mix together all the meatball ingredients. Form into balls about 1 to 1.5 inches in diameter and place on a baking sheet lightly sprayed with nonstick spray.

12-15 minutes

Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until meatballs are no longer pink on the inside.

Whisk together all the sauce ingredients until well blended. Drizzle sauce on each meatball for presentation or coat meatballs evenly in the sauce.

Garnish with toasted sesame seeds and sliced green onion.
