  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 12 pieces apples, peeled and sliced

In a mixing bowl, combine the sifted flour, baking soda, baking powder, and brown sugar. Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs, similar to pie crust.
