Starving Artists' Ground Beef Stroganoff With Beer

Ingredients

1 cup milk
2 tablespoons ketchup
2 tablespoons worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon dried minced onion
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 can beer
1/2 cup shredded white cheese (any kind)
1 bag egg noodles

Preparation

Mix ground beef, soup, milk, bouillon, ketchup, worcestershire, onion, garlic, salt, and beer in large wok.

Cook over medium heat until bubbly, then turn to low heat, stirring occasionally while completing Step 3.

Prepare noodles as directed.

Add drained noodles to sauce and combine well.

Fold in sour cream and cheese and it's ready to serve.

 



About

I created this recipe in college when I had very few ingredients in my kitchen and a limited budget. The beer adds a surprisingly good flavor in place of the more traditional recipe's wine. This has become a family favorite. Use whole wheat noodles and turkey burger for a healthier version that won't lose its rich flavor. Hope you enjoy it as much as my family does!
