- Cornmeal
- Pizza dough
- 1/2 cup Pesto(optional)
- 1 cup Grated cheddar cheese(optional)
- 1/2 cup Grated Parmesan(optional)
- Raw/Cleaned spinach
- Olive oil
- Salt and pepper
Instructions
Step 1
Pre-heat oven to 500 degrees, 30 minutes before baking the pizza.
Step 2
Using some cornmeal, roll pizza dough out to 1/8 – ¼ inch thick. Transfer dough to a pizza pan.
Step 3
Spread pesto on the pizza, leaving about a 1-inch rim along the edges. Adjust thickness to your preference, but avoid over-applying to prevent sogginess.
Step 4
Layer the cheddar cheese, then the spinach, followed by the Parmesan.
Step 5
Brush the crust with some olive oil and sprinkle some olive oil on top of the pizza. Add a pinch of salt and a few cracks of ground pepper.
Step 6
Place in oven on the lower, middle rack until crust is brown and the cheese is slightly brown and melted.
Step 7
Remove from oven and let sit for 5 minutes before serving.
