Ingredients

Toasted bread
Tomato
Olive oil
Salt [optional]

Preparation

Toast slices of a good quality bread, such as ciabatta

Slice a tomato in half and rub on one side of the bread.

Drizzle with olive oil.

Pa amb tomàquet is Catalan for "bread with tomato." It consists of toasted bread rubbed with tomato and is sometimes accompanied or topped with sausage, ham, anchovies, grilled vegetables or cheese.
