  • 1/4 teaspoons pepper
  • 1/2 pounds cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 8 medium potatoes
  • 1/4 cups butter
  • 1/2 cups flour
  • 6 cups milk
  • 2 teaspoons chicken bouillon

Step 1

Peel, cube, boil, drain, and mash potatoes to your desired consistency.

In a separate pan, melt butter, add flour, and cook while stirring.

Add half the milk and stir until lumps are out of the flour mixture.

Add the remaining milk and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

Stir almost constantly to prevent scorching.

After the mixture boils, turn off the heat and add the mushed potatoes, pepper, salt, chicken bouillon, and cheddar cheese.
