  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons chopped walnuts
  • 2 chunks dark chocolate (Xocai X Power Squares)

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Grease a 9-inch baking pan.

In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, 1/4 cup of the softened butter, salt, and sugar. Mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.

Add the egg, milk, and vanilla extract to the crumb mixture and mix until a dough forms.

On a lightly floured flat surface, roll the dough with a rolling pin to 1/4 inch thickness.

Evenly spread the remaining 1/4 cup of butter over the rolled-out dough. Sprinkle with cinnamon, brown sugar, chopped walnuts, and chopped Xocai X Power Squares.

Carefully roll the dough into a log and slice it into 1/2-inch thick pieces.
