- 1/4 cups oat bran
- 2 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 1/4 cups ground flax seed
- 1/4 cups wheat bran
- 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/3 cups sugar substitute
- 1/4 cups flaked coconut
- 1 cups non-fat milk
- 1/4 cups honey
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 1 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 small apple, finely chopped
- 2/3 cups almonds, chopped
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350°F. Spray a 9x13 inch pan with non-stick cooking spray.
Step 2
In a large bowl, stir together the rolled oats, ground flax seed, oat bran, wheat bran, salt, baking powder, cinnamon, sugar substitute, and flaked coconut until well combined.
Step 3
Add in the non-fat milk, honey, lightly beaten egg, and vanilla extract. Stir until combined.
Step 4
Stir in the finely chopped apple and chopped almonds.
Step 5
Press the mixture evenly into the prepared pan. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until the edges start to brown.
Step 6
Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then cut into bars. Let cool completely before serving.
