Yield: 2 samosas

Ingredients

2

cups white flour

2

teaspoons corn flour

2

teaspoons oil

½

teaspoon salt

1

cup water

½

cup cauliflower, chopped

½

cup potato, chopped

2

teaspoons fried ground nut

½

teaspoon whole cumin seeds (jeera)

½

teaspoon ground black pepper

1

teaspoon ginger paste

1

teaspoon cumin powder

salt, to taste

3

tablespoons vegetable oil

1

cup oil, for frying

Preparation

Step 1

Mix all the ingredients the white flour, corn flour, oil, salt and water to make a soft dough. Cover and set aside.

Step 2

Pour the 3 tablespoons of oil in a pan over heat. Add the whole jeera, cauliflower, potato, fried ground nut, and spices and fry well. Cover the pan above low heat, up to 10 minutes.

Step 3

Form the dough into a ball, flatten, and roll out into a circle. Cut it into two equal pieces. Form each into a cone shape with your finger. Fill the cone with the prepared mixture and press the two dampened edges together to seal the top of the cone.

Step 4

Fry the samosa in the heated oil till golden brown. Remove from oil and drain on a paper towel.
