Recipe: Vegetable Samosa

Ingredients

cups white flour |

teaspoons corn flour |
2 |
teaspoons oil |
½ |
teaspoon salt |

cup water |

cup cauliflower, chopped |
½ |
cup potato, chopped |

teaspoons fried ground nut |
½ |
teaspoon whole cumin seeds (jeera) |
½ |
teaspoon ground black pepper |

teaspoon ginger paste |
1 |
teaspoon cumin powder |
salt, to taste |

tablespoons vegetable oil |

Preparation
Step 1 |
Mix all the ingredients the white flour, corn flour, oil, salt and water to make a soft dough. Cover and set aside. |
Step 2 |
Pour the 3 tablespoons of oil in a pan over heat. Add the whole jeera, cauliflower, potato, fried ground nut, and spices and fry well. Cover the pan above low heat, up to 10 minutes. |
Step 3 |
Form the dough into a ball, flatten, and roll out into a circle. Cut it into two equal pieces. Form each into a cone shape with your finger. Fill the cone with the prepared mixture and press the two dampened edges together to seal the top of the cone. |
Step 4 |
Fry the samosa in the heated oil till golden brown. Remove from oil and drain on a paper towel. |
