- 1 cup shelled pumpkin seeds
- 1 cup shelled sunflower seeds
- 1/4 cup whole flaxseed
- 1/4 cup sesame seeds
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
Instructions
Step 1
Preheat oven to 300F. Line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper or very well greased foil.
Step 2
Combine shelled pumpkin seeds, shelled sunflower seeds, whole flaxseed, and sesame seeds in a medium bowl. Set aside.
Step 3
In a measuring cup or small bowl, mix together brown sugar, honey, toasted sesame oil, and sea salt. Microwave on high for 30 seconds.
Step 4
Pour the liquid mixture over the seeds and stir to coat them well.
Step 5
Pour the mixture into the lined pan and press down firmly to compact it.
Step 6
Cover the pan with foil and bake for 35 minutes. Then, uncover and bake for an additional 10 minutes.
Step 7
Immediately after removing from the oven, place the piece of foil back over the top and firmly press the bottom of an identical-sized square pan onto the baked mixture once again to compact it.
Step 8
Remove the pan and foil and allow the mixture to cool completely before cutting into pieces.
