Sweet and Tangy Apple Pear Chutney

Ingredients

Ingredients:
2 Apples, crisp/firm, finely grated with peel (I have used both Granny Smith and Golden Delicious varietie
1 Pear, finely grated (crisp variety like Asian Pears)
1 small piece Ginger
2 tablespoons Honey
pinch salt
cooking oil/butter

Preparation

In a pan, heat the cooking oil (or butter) and add the mustard seeds when hot.

When they crackle, add all the rest of the ingredients, one at a time and saute for 6 or 7 minutes until the fruits become very soft and translucent.

About

Serve immediately or at room temperature on bread as a spread, as a topper for pancakes or with rotis, Indian snack items like dosa/idli.
