Pita Burger
Not long ago I posted my home baked pita bread recipe. So with pita in the freezer I was set to make my pita burgers. Slightly different approach to a burger but since ground meat is involved I just named it "pita burger". It's easy, quick, crunchy, and delicious :)

In a big bowl, <a href="/7S3QCKWK">mix </a>all the ingredients.
Step 3
Open pita <a href="/482ZKJDV">bread </a>and start filling them with meat mixture, approximately ¼ cup of filling per pita <a href="/482ZKJDV">bread.</a> <a href="/4NXSJQ3D">Press </a>the meat mixture firmly onto the <a href="/482ZKJDV">bread.</a>

Smother both sides of pita generously with olive oil and <a href="/RNT367Z2">bake </a>in 500*F p<a href="/H3S4YV46">reheated oven f</a>or 7 minutes on each side or until b<a href="/482ZKJDV">read i</a>s b<a href="/D434P8MH">rowned a</a>nd crunchy. S<a href="/Y6MVNCHX">erve w</a>ith p<a href="/5LQDVZ7L">ickled b</a>anana peppers, Greek yogurt, s<a href="/W5YYKHT2">alad o</a>r maybe s<a href="/TXZ7QBJN">alsa o</a>r your favorite sauce.

TIP1: Use deep b<a href="/RNT367Z2">aking p</a>an to prevent s<a href="/QRT27MZS">moking f</a>or there will be some oil splattering involved. First time I made them I used shallow b<a href="/RNT367Z2">aking p</a>an and my fire alarm went off, yaycks!

TIP2: Pita burger is also very tasty when g<a href="/2V2PRWTZ">rilled. </a>Just make sure that the f<a href="/3J4YNDT6">lame i</a>s low and not too hot!
