Pesto

Ingredients

2 cups fresh basil leaves
2 tablespoons garlic
1 cup olive oil

Preparation

Starting with olive oil, place all ingredients in order listed in blender. Blend well.

Process basil, olive oil, 3 tbsp walnuts, garlic until creamy texture. Place in bowl and add cheese and mix by hand.

I am not sure why mastic gum is included in this. Any pesto recipe should have pine nuts in it though.

I was thinking the same thing about the pine nuts. They're definitely a must for pesto!
