tablespoon olive oil |

cup mushrooms minced |

small onion minced |

cup ground oats |

cups cooked short grain brown rice |

egg beaten |

tablespoons Parmesan cheese |

tablespoon Worcestershire sauce |

Step 1 |
Heat the oil in a small skillet over medium high heat. Add the mushrooms and onions and saute until the mushrooms are dark and the onion is golden, about 6-7 minutes. |
Step 2 |
Prepare an outside grill with an oiled rack set 6 inches above the heat source. On a gas grill, set the heat to medium. |
Step 3 |
Combine the mushrooms and onions with the remaining ingredients. Form the mixture into 6 patties. Grill the burgers, turning once, for a total of 6-7 minutes until the outside is golden brown. |

Short grain brown rice is stickier, so the burger holds together better on the grill
