This also works if you toss them in a frying pan for 5-10 min on medium heat. I've also added toasted cherry tomatoes and goat feta for a tasty warm salad.

head of kale

Olive oil spray

Kosher salt

[edit] Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 450 F

Step 2

Thoroughly wash and pat dry the kale

Step 3

Remove the woody stem by folding over each leaf until the stem is exposed. Then run your knife along the stem.

Step 4

Tear each leaf into bite-sized pieces

Step 5

Arrange kale pieces on a baking sheet

Step 6

Spray lightly with olive oil (or vegetable cooking spray)

Step 7

Sprinkle with good quality salt, such as Kosher or sea salt. Add cayane, black pepper or paprika.

Step 8

Bake in the oven for approximately 20 minutes or until crisp (watch closely so that they don't burn)
