Kellerbier

This is also know as Zwickelbier or Zoig(bier). This means cellar beer. It is a strongly flavored lager with aromatic hops. They come in different strenghts. The lager is deep amber in color with a reddish tinge to it. They have next to no head because of lack of carbonation. They make a great apertif served before dinner. It is usually drunk out of earthenware instead of glass mugs.
