Creme De Cassis

Creme de cassis is a sweet, blackcurrent-flavored liqueur. Blackcurrent is a species of Ribes, a genus of shrub from the family Grossulariaceae, native to Europe and northern Asia. It is a key ingredient in the Kir (an aperitif of white wine and crème de cassis) and Kir Royale (champagne and crème de cassis)

Intersting to mention that currants have a high content of gamma-linolenic acid, which has been used as an effective treatment for pre-menstrual syndrome (the best time to have a Kir Royale ??? ;-)).
