Custard Powder

Custard powder is a starch used to thicken milk-- contrary to popular belief, it is not dried and powdered custard. The ingredients vary from brand to brand, but usually include cornstarch or tapioca start, milk solids, glucose solids, vegetable fat, sugar, flavoring agents, salt, potassium phosphate, emulsifiers, a free-flowing agent, colorants, and an acidifying agent.
