About

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, the end of August in the the Northwest! I love that the mornings are cool and dewey, I love that the air changes and the green begins to turn to a soft yellow as the trees ready themselves for autumn. I love the smell of warm, plump, ripe blackberries on the vine that grow like weeds here. I love the availability of peaches!!!!!!

Last evening, as the salmon was cooking on the gas grill on a bed of hickory, I trotted off around the block, still in my dress from the workday sans stockings and shoes, with my apron on and my 1/2 full champagne glass tucked in my apron strings and went in search of those blackberries; two young girls in tow.

Blackberries I did find and home I did go to pair them with some just right peaches
