- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1.5 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 pound walnuts or pecans(optional)
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1.5 cup sugar

Mix sugar, sour cream, and spices in a saucepan. Bring to a full boil. Continue boiling for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla. Add nuts and stir until the mixture sugars. Pour on wax paper, separate the nuts, and let cool completely.

Place the cooled frosted walnuts in an air-tight container.
