  • 1 cup onion, diced
  • 2 teaspoons butter or oil
  • 1 pound shrimp, cleaned and cooked
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 1 can large whole tomatoes
  • 1 can chicken broth (13.5 oz)
  • Bay Leaf(optional)
  • 3 tablespoons parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon marjoram
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder
  • Cayenne(optional)
  • Salt(optional)
  • Pepper(optional)

Instructions

Step 1

Brown diced onion in butter (or oil) in a skillet. Add shrimp, white rice, large whole tomatoes, and chicken broth. Stir in parsley, cloves, marjoram, and chili powder. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

90 minutes

Transfer the mixture to a large baking dish, cover, and bake for 90 minutes at 350°F (175°C).
