Pepper Cheese Muffins

Ingredients
2 cups flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons freshly ground pepper
1 tablespoon sugar
1 cup Cheddar cheese sharp, grated
1 cup buttermilk
1 egg beaten
cup butter melted
Preparation

Combine the flour, baking powder, salt, pepper, sugar, and cheese. Mix the buttermilk, beaten egg, and melted butter. Add to the dry ingredients.

Stirjust long enough to combine. Divide among 12 greased muffin tins and bake in a preheated 400 F oven about 20-25 minutes.

I can't get over how simple these were to make. The texture was perfect, and the flavor was right on. They definitely exceeded all of my expectations. Thank you so very much!
