- 2 teaspoons lemon juice
- 20 ounces frozen strawberries

Thaw 20 ounces frozen strawberries in a colander placed over a deep bowl. Press to squeeze out the juice. This process should take several hours.

Place the extracted strawberry juice in a 4-cup heatproof container. Microwave to reduce it to 1/4 cup. (Alternatively, reduce the juice in a saucepan over fire).

Puree the thawed strawberries. Add the reduced juice, 2 teaspoons lemon juice, and 1/4 cup sugar to the puree.
