An Easy Home Recipe For Cream Puffs

Ingredients

Puffs                           
1 stick butter                                           
1 cup flour                                                     
1/4 teaspoon salt                                           
1 cup flour                                                    
Filling
cream

Preparation

Heat to a boil butter, water, and salt

Add flour and stir with wooden spoon till a ball pulls away from sides

Add 1 egg at a time and stir each till smooth (when egg is gone).  DO NOT OVER-STIR

Let cool for 10 minutes

Place batter into 1 gallon Ziploc bag, cut tip of bag for piping onto buttered cookie sheet

Make the puffs as big as you like, I prefer a 1 1/2" - 2" diameter dough ball

Bake at 375 degrees for 50 minutes

Remove from oven and cut a slit into the top of each puff to allow steam to escape

Return to oven for 10 minutes

Turn off oven and leave in for 10 more minutes

Remove and let cool

Make an "X" in the side of each puff and fill with whipped cream.  Put the whipped filling into a Ziploc bag, cut the tip/corner and pipe into your puffs.
