Pain perdu with figs and fig jam

Ingredients

4 slices of pan brioche
2 ripe figs
2 teaspoons granulated sugar Waves of Sugar (*) + 1 for sprinkling
1 large egg
a knob of butter
Bonne Maman fig jam

Preparation

In a shallow dish whisk the egg lightly with two teaspoons of sugar.

Wash and dry the figs, cut into thin slices and keep aside.

Spread the jam on two slices of brioche bread, add slices of fig and close sandwich.

In a nonstick pan, I used Greenline Ballarini, Melt the butter gently.

Dip a sandwich in the egg at a time, first one side then the other so as to absorb the mixture well.

Cook the sandwiches in the butter for about a minute each side until golden become beautiful.

Cut the sandwiches as you wish, sprinkle with sugar and eat it right away.
