My Favorite Scalloped Potatoes

Ingredients

1/2 pound bacon, choped
white pepper for sprinkling
butter for dotting
paprika for sprinkling

Preparation

Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

Butter an 9 inch circular casserole dish.

Peel and slice potatoes 1/4 inch thick.

Layer 1/3 of the potatoes in the casserole.

Add 1/3 of the cheddar and gruyere cheese over top.

Add 1/2 cup of half and half.

Sprinkle 1/3 of the bacon.

Add a few cubes of butter and a few grates of white pepper.

Repeat until you have 3 full layers.

Sprinkle paprika over the top.

Bake for 1 hour uncover until golden brown.
