- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 2 habaneros, deseeded
- 1 cup soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic
- 14-16 pieces chicken wings
- 1/2 pear or apple
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar(optional)
- 1/2 small onion
- 2 tablespoons honey
- salt and pepper
- scallion slices(optional)
- sesame seeds(optional)
Instructions
Step 1
Apply salt and pepper on the chicken wings for the pre-rub.
Step 2
Let wings sit at room temperature.
Step 3
Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 4
Meanwhile, prepare the marinade/glaze. Add all ingredients (minus the honey) to a food processor. Pulse until smooth and completely mixed through.
Step 5
Transfer the mixture to a saucepan and add the honey. Bring to a boil until thickened.
Step 6
Bake the wings, basting frequently every 10 minutes or so.
Step 7
After 30 minutes, set the oven to broil. Cook, basting with remaining glaze.
Step 8
When wings are charred and slightly burned, transfer to a serving plate. Let cool for several minutes.
Step 9
Garnish with thinly sliced scallion and/or toasted sesame seeds. Enjoy!
