Traditional Swedish Christmas Ham

Ingredients

1 cured ham
Mustard browning the top:
1 egg
3 tablespoons mustard
2-3 tbsp breadcrumbs

Preparation

Rinse the ham under running water. Let the grid in place.

Place the ham in a baking dish with the rind facing up. Insert a meat thermometer with the tip in the middle of the ham.

Baking the ham in the lower part of the oven of 125°C until the thermometer reads 75°C (about 70 minutes per pound)

Browning the top:

Remove the net and the rind before browning the top. Put the ham in an ovenproof dish.

Mix the egg and mustard and spread over the ham. Sprinkle with breadcrumbs.

Set the ham in the upper part of the oven at 200°C, about 10-15 minutes.

Let the ham cool thoroughly before cutting it into slices with a sharp knife.
