Ingredients

(large family recipe - feeds 12)
2 large onions cut up
4 teaspoons curry powder
1 teaspoon tumeric
2 teaspoons cumin
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon + cayenne pepper
1 can tomato sauce (or pizza sauce!)
32 ounces lentils

Preparation

Large onions cut up

Saute them in coconut oil (or olive if you don't have it)

Then add 1 can coconut milk and 1 can tomato sauce... simmer together.

In the meantime, I cook 2 bags (32 oz) of lentils in 64 oz of chicken stock (you could do water).

When the lentils are soft and cooked down (about 15-20 minutes), I add the sauce to them, mix and let simmer a bit.

Thanks for sharing your recipes with me! Here is mine... it feeds us all so you'd probably want to half it for your family! lol! It has an Indian "flare" to it and is super yummy!

2 t cumin
1/4 t cinnamon
1/2+ t cayenne pepper
