Everyone loves peanut butter cups, theirs just something about that magical combination of peanut butter and chocolate. Here's my recipe for making your own peanut butter cups easily at home.

  • 1 tablespoons kosher salt
  • 40-60 small paper cups small paper cups
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 bags 12 oz bitter sweet chocolate
  • 1 jar 18 oz peanut butter

Instructions

Combine the peanut butter and powdered sugar in a mixing bowl until the peanut butter is pliable but not sticky.

Form the peanut butter mixture into small disks, ensuring they fit into the paper cups with a little room on each side.

Place the paper cups on a tray and then place the peanut butter disks into each cup.

30 seconds at a time

Place the chocolate in a glass microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on 10-20% power for 30 seconds at a time, stirring between each interval, until the chocolate melts when stirred (not in the microwave) to prevent burning.

Stir the kosher salt into the melted chocolate.

30 seconds

Carefully pour the melted chocolate into each cup, completely covering the peanut butter disks. If the chocolate begins to harden, microwave it for another 30 seconds.

1 hour

Place the filled cups in the refrigerator for 1 hour to cool and harden completely.
