German Cherry Cake

Ingredients
1 pound all purpose flour
1/2 cup white sugar
2 eggs
1/2 pound butter
3 teaspoons baking powder
a little lemon juice
a few drops of brandy optional
2 can pitted cherries
1 pch salt
Preparation

Beat butter until creamy , add sugar and eggs , lemon juice and brandy. Mix flour and baking powder together and add to above mixture.

Add the cherries ( drained ) and a little sugar.

The rest of the dough.....mix into crumbs and sprinkle on top.
