Hard Boiled Eggs

Preparation

1
Put eggs in cold water and bring to a boil. Boil for 1 minute and remove pan from heat. Set timer for 20 minutes, remove and rinse under cold water.
2
Alternate method: Place eggs in a single layer in bottom of pot, cover with cold water to approximately one inch over the eggs. Turn heat on to High, and set timer to 18 minutes. Remove from heat immediately when the timer goes off and drain. Shake the pot around a bit so that the eggs crack, and cover the eggs with ice and cold water. Let sit for several minutes in the ice water before peeling. Super-easy peeling and guaranteed no green yolks!

About

This conserves on fuel due to reduced boiling time. End result is as good as any recipe I have found. (This comment refers to the first method.)
