Pepsi Japan has announced a brand-new bitter cola, Pepsi Dry, for the Japanese market. The beverage will have just half of the sweetness of traditional Pepsi, according to InventorSpot, with a taste that's much closer to the original kola nut-based beverage than the saccharine soda that most of us think of as cola today. Pepsi Dry will launch in Japan on Tuesday, May 24. It's the latest novelty flavored soda in the Pepsi Japan lineup, joining flavors like Pepsi Ice Cucumber, Pepsi Blue Hawaii, Pepsi Baobob and Pepsi White. The Pepsi Dry packaging is clean and minimalist; the silver label is dotted with bubbles, and the word "Dry" appears in large text below the familiar Pepsi logo. Although Pepsi Dry is just launching in Japan, it'll be interesting to see whether Coca-Cola follows suit and moves away from super-sugary sodas. Is Pepsi Dry a drink you'd like to try?

I just picked up a bottle at my local Mini-Stop. It's pretty good. :)
