Sierra, Pacific Sierra, Sierra Mackerel, Scomberomorus sierra: Caught with Captain Pata in the panga Salome, La Playita, San Jose del Cabo, Baja California Sur, Mexico, midmorning in February 2003, in 72-degree, 50 to 100-foot deep water, within 200 yards of shore, utilizing 30-pound test attached to a 30-pound test wire leader via a swivel and size 2/0 hook, baited with a live sardina, 20 miles north of La Playita. Size approximately 20 inches and 4 pounds.
