Is your cutting hand getting tired from clipping all your coupons? Throw out those scissors; the newest way to redeem your coupons, is to go digital! Stores are starting to offer coupons that can be scanned at checkout, right from your phone. Sign up for their free service, and you will often get the coupons as soon as they are available each week. If you shop at Target, their sign up takes about 5 seconds. Sam's Club offers another really great app for saving money, although you have to be a *Plus* member to get the deals.
Although this makes perfect sense to the shopper, the merchants are not as enthusiastic. A possible reason is that they just aren't embracing the technology that is available, since it isn't as if they have NO people shopping the old fashioned way (even withOUT coupons-gasp). Personally, I always mention while checking out, that I wish there was a mobile app for that location. Many times, I can simply whip out my smartphone and show them how Target or Sams Club does it.
