Whenever walking into a Greek diner, you immediately confronted by the strong scents of oregano, garlic, and fresh pita being removed from the oven. I challange anyone who thinks there is anything better than fresh bread, even if it is flat bread. You can make this in your kitchen or grill the dough on the barbecue. I like to rub my pita dough with olive oil and oregano to give it a little more flavor. Pita is essential to make gyro sandwiches, or just for snacking with some hummus.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup lukewarm water (not over 110 F)
1 package active dry yeast
1 tablespoon Sugar or honey
1 teaspoon Salt
3 cups Flour
