Eagle Produce Recalls Cantaloupe For Salmonella

Eagle Produce, LLC of Scottsdale, AZ., has announced a voluntary recall of cantaloupes shipped from Arizona to upstate New York in late May, due to the potential contamination of salmonella. 

No illnesses have been reported, but the company has decided to recall the potentially affected shipments that went to Sam's Club between June 2 and June 17th, 2011. The recall is approximately 1760 cartons of cantaloupes each containing 9 melons, that were sold in bulk. The logo Kandy was in white and Cantaloupes was also in white, both words on a red background.

Consumers who believe that they are in possession of uneaten cantaloupes affected by this recall may contact Eagle Produce at (480) 323-6177 Monday through Friday 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM MST (Arizona time).
