Strawberry-Rosemary Lemonade
Photo:
A Little Bite Of Life
Ingredients
2 cups
Fresh squeezed
Lemon Juice
(5- 6 Fresh
lemons)
1 cup
Water
1/2 cup
Sugar
1 1/2 cups
Fresh
Strawberries
1/2 cup
Sugar
1 1/2 cups
cold
water
4 sprigs
,Fresh
Rosemary
Preparation
1
Juice
the lemons until you have 2 cups of fresh lemon
juice.
2
Set aside.
3
Add 1 cup of water, as well as 1/2 cup of sugar to a small saucepan and
heat
to
boiling.
4
While water is
boiling
add 3-4 sprigs of rosemary.
5
Remove from the
heat
and allow to
cool.
6
Clean
and hull the strawberries, and
slice
into quarters.
7
Place strawberries in a food processor, add 1/2 cup of sugar, and
mix
until thoroughly
pureed.
8
Add 1/2 cup of water and
puree
alittle more.
9
Pour the strawberry
puree
in a large pitcher, and add remaining 1 cup of cold water.
10
Mix
together with a
spoon.
11
Add the lemon
juice
and
cooled
sugar water, and
mix
well.
12
You
can
either
scoop
out the rosemary sprigs at this point in time, or leave them in.
13
I usually leave them in, so more of the oils will be released into the lemonade.
14
When
serving
add
ice
cubes to a glass, pour in the lemonade, and
garnish
with a fresh rosemary sprig.
