Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Ingredients

8 smalls potatoes, peeled and cut into pieces
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup butter
2 cloves garlic, peeled and minced
salt and pepper to taste

Preparation

Bring a large pot of water to boil. Add potatoes and boil until soft, about 20 to 25 minutes. Drain and place in a large bowl.

Combine potatoes with heavy cream, butter, garlic, salt and pepper. Mix with an electric mixer or potato masher to your desired consistency. Serve hot.

Finally: mashed potatoes good enough to stand on their own- gravy is a bonus but not a necessity.
