Coconut Basil Sorbet

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups whole or 2% milk
1 14 ounce can coconut milk (you can use low fat)
1/2 cup water
10 basil leaves
Optional: toasted coconut for garnish

Preparation

Add water and sugar to a saucepan. Heat just until the sugar is dissolved. Add the basil leaves and stir. Remove from heat.

Pour into a bowl and cool completely.

Combine the milk, canned coconut milk and coconut.

Place in ice cream maker and process.

When completed, add to a container and freeze.

After completely frozen, serve.

Option: Top with toasted coconut.
