Chicken Salna

Ingredients

1/2 kg Chicken bones
1 teaspoon Ginger Garlic Paste
6 Curry leaves, or to taste (up to 8)
1 tablespoon Chilli powder
1 tablespoon Sambhar Powder
1 tablespoon Coriander Powder
1 handful Mint leaves
1 teaspoon Garam Masal Items
4 tablespoons Oil
Coconut Paste:
1 cup Coconut, grated
1/2 teaspoon Saunf

Preparation

Roughly grind onion and tomato. (Don’t grind to a smooth paste.)

Heat oil in a pan. Add the Garam masal items and bayleaf. Fry for one minute.

Add the ground onion/tomato paste and brown.

Add split green chilies, ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, sambhar powder, coriander powder and salt .

Add chicken bones and fry for 2 minutes.

Add required water and cook it till chicken is done.

Now add ground coconut paste and wait until the raw smell goes away.

Garnish with coriander leaves.

About

This generally tastes good when prepared with chicken/Mutton bones. Salna is served mostly with Parotta’s and biryani, but the truth is, it goes well with everything.
