1. Hot Onion Dip
Need:
1 bag frozen onions
½ cup Miracle Whip or Mayo,,your preference
½ cup Parmesan Cheese
Mix all ingredients in a shallow dish, bake at 425 for 40 minutes or until bubbly... YUM
2. Guacamole
Need:
4 avocados
Salsa
Sour cream
Cilantro
Mash ripe avocados leaving some little chunks. Mix in ¼ cup all, chopped cilantro, sour cream and salsa. Put in cute dish and surround with dipping chips.
3. Cheese, Pepperoni and Cracker Platter
I know, this is too easy to mention, but people still love making their own sandwiches with your classic selection of sliced cheeses, pepperoni and crackers.
4. Cream Cheese & Relish Dip
Need:
1 jar Harry & David’s Pepper and Onion Relish
1 block softened Cream Cheese
Mix the whole jar of pepper and onion relish with the cream cheese in your serving bowl. People will be begging for the recipe so stock up at Harry & David's!
5. Baked Artichoke Dip
Need:
2 cans Artichoke Hearts
½ cup Miracle Whip or Mayo
½ cup Parmesan Cheese
Drain artichoke hearts and chop loosely. Mix in bowl with Miracle Whip and parmesan cheese. Put in shallow serving dish and sprinkle more parmesan on top. Bake for 40 minutes or until bubbly at 450.
6. Bruschetta
Need:
6 Roma (plum) Tomatoes
1 tsp chopped garlic
¼ cup olive oil
2 tablespoons Balsamic Vinegar
¼ cup fresh basil
1 french baguette (have them slice in store, MUCH easier)
2 cups shredded Mozzarella Cheese
Salt 'n Peppa' (get those HuePhoria shakers at the ready!)
Preheat the oven on broiler setting. In a large bowl, combine the roma tomatoes, garlic, olive oil, vinegar, basil, salt, and pepper. Allow the mixture to sit for 10 minutes. On a baking sheet, arrange the baguette slices in a single layer. Broil for 1 to 2 minutes until slightly brown. Divide the tomato mixture evenly over the baguette slices. Top the slices with mozzarella cheese. Broil for 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted.
7. Shrimp Cocktail
Arrange jumbo shrimp around HuePhoria martini glass with cocktail sauce in glass. Not only pretty, but a big crowd pleaser.
8. Cocktail Weiner Deluxe
Need:
1 package of cocktail wieners (approx 32)
Ready bake dough (Pillsbury Pop n’ Fresh)
Crumbled bacon bits
Swiss cheese, sliced into 1X2 inch strips
Unpackage and flatten the dough, slice into 3X3 inch squares. Place 1 cocktail wiener on a dough square, add a strip of cheese and roll it up. Sprinkle with bacon bits and heat at 400 for 10 minutes or until dough is golden brown. Serve with fancy mustard or ketchup
9. Orange-glazed Chicken Wings
Need:
1 cup Orange Juice
2 tablespoons grated orange zest
1 tablespoon minced garlic
¼ cup soy sauce
1 tablespoon brown sugar
4 pounds chicken wings
1 ½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
Heat oven to 400, in a large bowl combine the orange juice with zest, garlic, soy sauce, brown sugar, salt 'n peppa (get out those HuePhoria shakers!) to create the marinade. Add chicken wings and toss to coat. Spread in single layer on 2 baking sheets, spoon marinade over wings reserving some for another baste. Bake for 20 minutes, turn wings and baste with marinade. Cook another 10 minutes then chow down.
10. Make the kids Happy too!
Need:
1 package cream cheese
1 container caramel dip
1 bag Heathbar Crunch bits
4-6 Green Granny Smith Apples
Put cream cheese in center of plate, cover with caramel dip. Pour Heathbar bits over caramel and put Granny Smith apple slices around the edge of that. Kids use apple to dig into that delish heap. Put in a room other than where the adults are hanging and refill often.
