Ingredients
3 qts. water
1 pound dry navy beans, soak overnight
1 ham bone
2 stalks celery, your preference
2 carrots, diced or pkg. of frozen baby carrots
1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
1 pt. or (No. 2) can whole tomatoes
pepper to taste
Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a large pot, roaster or Dutch oven. Cover and bake in preheated 325 degree oven for 3 to 4 hours; the longer cooked the better.
